Mathilde Sanders obtained her MA in Political Science at the University of Amsterdam (1998) in The Netherlands. Subsequently, she worked as a journalist writing for several Dutch news media.


Currently, she is PhD candidate and lecturer at the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) of the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. From 2015-2018 Mathilde was  researcher and lecturer at the Journalism School of the University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht.

With her research in the European news media sector she aims to make a contribution to the literatures on ownership, business models, coalitions, institutional logics and categories.

Mathilde presented her work at the NeFCA, ECREA, EGOS and EMMA conferences.
