Mathilde Sanders obtained her MA in Political Science at the University of Amsterdam (1998) in The Netherlands. She worked as a journalist writing for several Dutch news media from 2000 to 2012.

Currently, she is PhD candidate and lecturer at the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) of the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. From 2015-2018 Mathilde was  researcher and lecturer at the Journalism School of the University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht.

With her research in the European news media sector she aims to make a contribution to the literature on ownership, business models, institutional logics and categories in both entrant and incumbent organizations.

Mathilde presented her work at the NeFCA, ECREA, EGOS and EMMA conferences.
